So i'm now in Goonengerry at my 2nd helpx home.
Getting here was a fucking pain in my arse, I travelled with greyhound and they are bloody shit.
So I was meant to get the coach at 3:30pm on Thursday and arrive in Byron Bay friday morning at 9:30am. The coach didn't turn up till 5:30 and so I missed my connecting coach from Sydney so I had to find a hostel at 11:30 at night and get the next coach at 7:00am. I was over the moon with that. In the end I got to Byron friday night at about 10:30pm. Hanson, one of the people that live here, picked me up and we drove to the house.
Now this place is totally diferent from Boorowa.
The best way to describe it is to say I'm living in the jungle. All I can see is tall green tress, grass, trees trees and more trees. There is a waterfall about 30mins away which is awesome. Getting to it was the fun part. It's like totally overgrown so you gotta climb trees, jump rocks, walk up the river, hack shit out the way with a machete. Bit of tarzan shit going on.
Where I am now is like a small community. Loads of land and like 8 houses here. They all help each other and shit like that. Everyone seems pretty cool and there are a quite a few helpxers here. I live with Jude, Hanson and their kid Sammy. There is also a german lad here, Tino, and other than being german is a good lad and there is a jap girl here also. She's not great at the lingo but all she does is look after the kid which is good. Means I don't have to go near him...
Work wise they want to to extend their plastic roof which I'm quite happy to do. In the sun and pretty easy indeed. Now as for the spiders, I have only seen one which is good but on the down side I am forever trying to get leaches off me and watching out for snakes. They have brown and tiger snakes here which can both kill if not treated asap I'm told. Bloody great. Good thing is they like kinda like the dry and warm and although it's hot here it's wet. The ground doesn't dry so hopefully they will stay outta my way. Think this weekend me and german Tino are gonna have a night in Byron Bay and see what's going on there. Should be a good night out. When I was waiting for Hanson there I just saw so much tang and the english accent works bloody wonders...

So me and the german went for our night out and it was pretty cool. not the best night ever but i was still in bed by 12 wasted. not bad at all.

now things change a little thursday 21st robbie can over to join me in goonengerry to live here for a while. i said i'd meet him in byron bay and we'd have a few nights there. well what a few nights it was. we saw live bands everyday and got to see british india who were awesome. spent hours down the beach and got to see dolphins, that was cool. was weird though. in the sea with a beer chatting away and then there was a black shaddow and then a fin. uhoh springs to mind befor awwwww a dolphin. pubs were awesome too. spent a while in them. all the pubs have live music day and night all though the week. its so cool. we went on a day trip to nimbin, have a few magic cookies and got fucked up there. when in rome as they say.. met loads of dames whice is always a good thing. wont to in to details though, your all to young to hear..
