First impression of Cairns: Gorgeous. Hot, humid and surrounded by beautiful lush vegetation and mountains. Tropical paradise.

After a week or so in a hostel and franticly looking for work, things start to look up. Get a job at restaurant, boring but ridiculously easy, move into a house, meet up with some old roomates and enjoy Cairns nightlife. Only issue: it's rainy season. Rains, and I mean rains, almost everyday. Balls.

After almost 6 (wet) weeks in Cairns, we start to feel restless and decide it is time to move on. Would love to do the coast yet are a few hundred short of being able to. Luckily after visiting a travel agency we secure jobs as barmaids in country pubs in the outback! Shoud be interesting...
