YES the future global leaders

17.March 2008 - Boulder

This weekend we hosted 4 very sweet girls, all being Muslims, staying in Boulder for a Leaderships conference. Asi from Senegal, Sarah from Lebanon, Fatima from Paktistan and Mimi from Palestine. All of them being between 16 and 17 years old, wanting to make a change in the world through projects in the home country. They are all on a high school exchange, having recived a sholarship and now applied to come to Boulder to further work on their leadership skills. What was amazing to me, is that it was very similar to what we do in AIESEC. The only difference is, they are 16!!!!!

Have you ever seen a 16 year old driven kid, talking about leadership wanting to change the world? Well I can tell you, it´s pretty amazing. I have seen students wanting to make a difference, but also I have experienced how hard it is to actually find students who want to make that change. Who are willing to spend their free time at the weekend in a conference room rather than partying, and experiencing that, I would have never thought that there are so many kids out there that can make just that same impact even at that age. so ride on guys, you are doing a great job!
