Translation underneath!

I think I went threw the restaurants last week on monday or tuesday. I am not sure. I've been to a lot restaurants and were not sure wether I would get a job or not.
I've been also to the Jobdesk at Base Hostel, which usually costs about 90$ but not for member of AIFS. He told me that there are a lot of jobs but it might be difficult to arrange one. He saved my resume and told me that he will look for a job.
Back at hostel did I have a look at gumtree.com.au and that was a bit disappointing, becuase there were so less jobs available for boys.

However I did not give up and moved to some hotels on friday and apllied online for some jobs.

Because I did not get a request after 5 days, although I've been to several restaurants 2 days after handing in my resume to show them that I really want that job and that I am still in brisbane was the plan for the weekend to keep on searching. As you can read in my other story did I not.

The funny thing is, yestareday did I talk about that with my new friends and they sayed: "You should get a job at that bavarian bar, people would prefer to be served by people who can tell them some facts about german culture and heritage!" And what than happend is the true story and NO JOKE: About one hour later did I get a call by the staffmanager of the Bavarian Bier Bar who wants me to come over today to work there!!! I can't believe that this is my life because I am so lucky. Such a lot of good things happen to me and I have no other chance but to enjoy them :D

But what is important about this story:
You will always have a chance. The offer by AIFS to get free help by professional jobdesks is very important but you should always care about yourself! Go to the restaurants, bars and hotels and whatever and ask, ask, ask and go back to them because they want to know that you are still there and that you really want that job!

However: never give up and do your best and you will succeed! :)

Als ich letzte Woche Montag oder Dienstag zu vielen Restaurants gegangen bin um dort nach einem Job zu fragen war ich mir nicht sicher ob ich einen bekommen würde oder nicht, da diese Restaurants sehr offensichtlich sind und vermutlich viele Backpacker dort hingehen würden.
Daher bin ich auch zu dem Jobdesk im X-Base Hostel gegangen. Das Personal dort ist sehr professionell und sehr darum bemüht Euch einen Job zu besorgen. Normalerweise kostet das ca. 90$, aber durch Eure Membershipcard von AIFS bekommt Ihr diesen Service kostenlos. Der Vermittler konnte mir zum derzeitigen Zeitpunkt keinen Job direkt vermitteln, hat mich aber auf seine Liste gesetzt, mein Resume gespeichert und mir gesagt er kümmert sich, zugleich aber geraten, dass ich selbst auch auf Achse bleibe.
Daher bin ich dann Freitag nochmal durch die Hotels gegangen und habe mich online bei diversen beworben. Außerdem war ich nochmal bei diversen Restaurants um denen zu zeigen, dass ich nach wie vor da bin und den Job wirklich möchte.
Da bis dato alles nicht so erfolgreich war habe ich mir gedacht, dass ich über das Wochenende weiter suche, was allerdings nicht so geklappt hat, wie Ihr in meinem Blog lesen könnt.
Das lustige war, als ich gestern bei meinen neuen Freunden war und wir über meine Jobmöglichkeiten gesprochen haben, btw: einer arbeitet in einer landscaping Firma und hat versucht mir einen Job klar zu machen, meinten die: ?Du solltest einen Job in dem Bayrischen Restaurant bekommen, denn die Gäste werden es bevorzugen von einem Deutschen bedient zu werden, der denen auch was über die Kultur und Vergangenheit erzählen kann!? Was dann geschah ist ungelogen wirklich passiert. Ca. eine Stunde später bekomme ich einen Anruf von dem Personalleiter der Bavarian Bier Bar und er möchte, dass ich heute dort anfange zu arbeiten! Das ist einfach unfassbar :D

Was ich jedenfalls daraus schlussfolgern kann ist, dass man nie aufgeben sollte, immer hartnäckig weiter nachfragen und auch rechtzeitig vor den Hauptsaisons, welche jetzt anfangen und es kann auch nicht schaden, wenn man mal abends ausgeht, sich mit neuen Leuten anfreundet, vor allem wenn man wie ich so lange in einer Stadt bleiben will und diese dann fragt ob sie vlt. Möglichkeiten haben Dir einen Job zu vermitteln. Aber man sollte auch Angebote wie die AIFS Membership in Anspruch nehmen, denn dadurch kann man tatsächlich viel Geld sparen und wird ziemlich professionell beraten.
