I woke up uncountable times but finally we got up at around 8.
After getting the car read and having breakfast we headed towards Bicheno - avoiding the damaged A4-highway.
Before visiting the Freycinet national park I intended to go to Bicheno to get a room for tonight. And we got the best ever - just for 20 Dollars for a dorm room (which eventually belonged just to the two of us) and now look carefully - with sea view!!! How awesome is that.
We took the chance and booked another night on a whim.
Then we drove to Freycinet national park and stared our walk. Firstly it took us to a beautiful lookout through the wineglass bay. Then we walked the whole way that we climbed up before down again and reach the gorgeous bay which we ve seen before from the lookout point. Cristal blue water and nice bright sand. We also saw a wallaby there.
While Chrissy was walking a bit on the beach to get heaps (:-) of pictures, I had a chat with an Tasmanian who was on holidays in this region too.
Later we continued the walk and reached the hazards beach. There we walked along a bit and before the track continued through forest land again we used the time to go for a short dip in the ocean. It was a bit freezing, but still amazing. And unfortunately it makes you realise that we don't have this back home.
On our way we saw another few wallabies - still amazing to watch. The way led us along the sea side and went through stony parts and small forest land.
Even though we really enjoyed this 5 hours walk we were glad to reach the car park and got home to take a shower :-) (after all this rain the weather god seemed to make everything more than good and gave us a hot and sunny day - but we definitely won't complain!)
