We started at 10 and went to Devonport. We took a beautiful scenic route along the sea side. It was already gorgeous with the rain - heaps off flowers and just beautiful landscape.
We stopped briefly in Devonport and then headed in direction to Lanceston. We stopped at Cheese tasting house - delicious - and later at a strawberry cafe where we got chocolate 'wrapped' strawberries - mmmmmhhhhhhh. Then we took the tourist route for the remaining distance. The road went through nice landscape of mostly farming fields (e.g. Mohnfelder).
We arrived in Lanceston and discovered in the tourist information that a lot of roads near the Bay of fire were already closed because of the flooding.
We decided to take a room and have a look around the city tomorrow.
