Die 2. Augustwoche ist auch nicht ruhiger. Im Gegenteil - sie beginnt mit der größten Nutztier-Show des Landes: der Tullamore Show. Und ich darf dabei sein dank Katja und Dermott :-). Außerdem nimmt mich Katja mal wieder im Sulky mit, diesmal mit ihrem hübschen Rappwallach Oisín.
Bei all der Zerstreuung finde ich kaum Zeit, meine Rundreise vorzubereiten. Welche sowieso gar nicht mehr so sicher war: gerade als ich das Mietauto buchen wollte, sind die Preise in den Himmel geschossen. Und zwar im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes verdoppelt. Da Irland eh irre teuer in Sachen Mietautos ist, war das beinahe das Aus für meine Reise. Doch Katja und Dermott retten mich und meine Reisepläne, indem sie mir eines ihrer eigenen Autos zur Verfügung stellen. Wow!
Der Pferdetrainingskurs hingegen findet nicht mehr für mich statt, da er z.T. auf einen anderen Termin verlegt wird. Doch wenigstens erlebe ich eine nette Präsentation Walter Badet's mit einem bisher kaum ans handling gewöhnten Jungpferd :-).
Und dann ist es auch schon Zeit, die Taschen zu packen und das tapfere Streitroß zu satteln: Irland, ich komme!

The 2nd week doesn't slow down either. In fact, it starts with the biggest lifestock show in the country: the Tullamore Show. And I get to experience it -thanx to Katja and Dermot :-). And then Katja takes me on a sulky ride again, this time with her beautiful black gelding Oisín.
With all these things happening I hardly get around to preparing for my roundtrip. Which wasn't so sure to be happening any longer anyway: just when I meant to book the rental car, prices went through the roof. And I mean literally double. What with Ireland being an awfully expensive place to rent anyway, that was nearly putting a full stop to my trip. But Katja and Dermott save me and my travel plans by providing me with one of their own cars. Awesome!
On the other hand, the horse clinic isn't in for me anymore due partial rescheduling of the course, but at least I get to experience Walter Badet in a nice presentation of his with a young and barely handled horse :-).
And then it's already time to pack my bags and gear up my brave red war horse: ireland, I'm coming!
